...except for two things:
1) That mark on his forehead is actually a red eye, and it occasionally changes slightly in position, style, angle, etc. Something like this (except not... artistically coming off his skin or anything lmfao pretend I'm a good artist)
2) That crown that floats around his head is made out of an obviously magical black smoke-like material, and appears shattered, broken, and in pieces. Kinda floats around twitchily.

Character ABILITIES:
- granted by the misery
- pre-merge: Catsovi can summon the misery (see Inventory) at will. He can also physically control others (one person at a time) like a puppeteer from a short distance, provided that he can muster up the concentration and calm required to do so. There are two forms of this control:
- controlling large movements -- walking, running, bending, etc, with the smallest movement he can control being flexing of the fingers and grabbing motions -- leaving his victims free to speak and emote at will. He can attempt to impose physically impossible motions upon people, but has a hard time actually succeeding.
- He can also relinquish control upon movements and instead focus control upon the underlying skeleton. Cat can only control the skeleton independent of the rest of the body, i.e., he can't control movements this way... he just manipulates bones. So he can dislocate bones, break them, and -- given enough time and concentration on his end -- pull them straight through flesh and skin.
- post-merge: These abilities appear to have some sort of adverse effect on Cat. He doesn't use them very often -- and certainly doesn't mention that he has them.
Catsovi has the ability to control peoples' minds (with mind-control encompassing bodily control). This power is less limited in scope; he can control many, many people all at once, for extended periods of time, with their only hope of release being Cat's mercy.
Victims are always first 'tapped', and go about their business normally afterwards, unaware that they've fallen under control. Then Cat can do one of two things:
- Cat can subliminally implant an idea, thought, or task into the victim's head -- influencing them to do what he wants, such that the actions taken as a result all seem mostly natural to the victim. This is Cat's preferred method of control, as it requires the least amount of effort on his part.
It's often difficult for victims to figure out whether or not they've been controlled in this manner, as the very nature of it obscures that knowledge.- But there are many cases in which the above will not work: if the victim is too willful, or if Cat needs them to do something so out-of-character that no amount of subtle influencing would ever push them in the right direction. So Catsovi can also take complete control and force the victim into taking action.
Here, out of necessity, the victim's own consciousness fades out and becomes unaware while Cat is using them to carry out whatever task is required. The victim will essentially experience blackouts, with no memory of the events occurring during said blackouts.
In both cases, unless Cat explicitly gives himself away at any point, the victim will not be aware of who is responsible.
Rather less subtly, Catsovi can also attempt to physically merge other people and objects into himself. General sensations of terror, horror, and loss of self-identity are usually invoked. What happens in a successful merge is a mystery to even Cat himself, since he's never completed one.- granted by (the remains of) the asleep: Cat's lost the majority of the powers that he once received from the asleep. All that's left to him is the broken crown that still floats above his head, and the unwelcome ability to occasionally flicker at the edges of his being, as if he himself is starting to become insubstantial.
- the misery: the misery itself is great at rolling, crushing, and generally destroying everything in its path, solely due to its size (left). Those are really its main abilities, and the ones it utilizes most often in battle.
The blood that it both bleeds and weeps also burns everything that it touches (except for Cat), corrosively, like an acid.
Character PERSONALITY:
Or at least: the personality that Catsovi normally presents to the outside world.
Shallow. Extraordinarily shallow, and almost entirely incapable of introspection. Shallow, vain, prideful, sometimes distantly mild-mannered and polite, often sociable and a flatterer, but still quite often just downright unpleasant. Catsovi may not act outright evil, but he's got very few notably good traits to appreciate.
However, he cracks with some regularity -- becomes snappish, or transparently scornful, or otherwise sheds the tightly-controlled and carefully maintained snobbishness that he normally projects -- and he softens up with some regularity, too, as if to show that he can be just as vulnerable and humbled and human as anyone else.
He's also a little manipulative. A little.
» EXSILIUM INFORMATION
Character INVENTORY:
Cat'll be bringing his khet, a supernatural and sentient creature called the misery. (Exhibit A, Exhibit B)
Cat, however, hates his khet. It revolts and disgusts him. When he arrives in Exsilium his first course of action will be to ensure that the misery stays far, far away from him -- he'll just straight-up banish it to the Outlands and hide/deny any sort of relationship with it.
the misery itself is rather meek and mild-mannered when left to its own devices. It bears no personal ill-will or hostility towards anyone and actually seems quite starved for attention and affection, making it very insistent upon endearing itself to people.
It is also incredibly broken in nature. It has a habit of rolling around to travel, but rolls over its own wings in the process, mangling and breaking and crushing them up on a regular basis. Given the whining noises that it makes afterwards, it certainly seems capable of feeling pain, too.
However, its number one priority in life is to watch out for Catsovi. It acts like his big, creepy guardian angel, and will attack anything that threatens harm to Cat, or go after anything that Cat instructs it to. It will generally do whatever Cat asks, though mostly Cat asks it to stay the hell away from him.
» ADDITIONAL NOTES
Catsovi has been blind for about fifty years... but recently regained sight via a third eye. However, Cat still pretends that he is completely blind.
